Archipelago’s Electronic Monitoring (EM) Program is seeking a motivated individual to assemble discrete electronic and mechanical components, sensors and subassemblies into finished products under the direction of the Product Manager.

• Good hand dexterity
• Excellent soldering skills including:
  • Connector assembling (solder pot)
  • Cable splicing
  • Macro-scale circuit board soldering (limited)
• Proven ability to understand and follow assembly diagrams
• Familiarity with multi-meter use (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter)
• Experience with electronic and chassis assembly hand tools
• Experience with crimping tools (Molex, Amp, Klein etc.)
• Familiarity with simple component test procedures
• Experience installing components into metal chassis structures
• An eye for quality and pride in your work

  DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Machine shop skills IE: drilling, sanding, chassis assembling, measurement tools
  • Experience in quality control and assessment
  • Personal Computer skills; hardware and software components
  • Knowledge of inventory techniques
  • Experience with waterproof electrical splices
