Michelle Spani

Michelle is a Registered Professional biologist and commercial diver with 17 years of experience conducting marine research in Canada and abroad. Through her previous role as a regulatory biologist with DFO’s Fish and Fish Habitat Protection Program, Michelle gained experience conducting regulatory reviews, working with government agencies and Indigenous groups. Michelle’s past project experience includes designing and implementing intertidal and subtidal habitat assessments, species at risk surveys, marine water quality, eelgrass, sediment, plankton, benthic invertebrates and fisheries sampling programs. Michelle is a commercial vessel operator and enjoys spending her free time on the water exploring the BC coast.
