Ximena Tirado

Ximena originally moved to Canada from Mexico to pursue her studies. She joined Archipelago as a co-op student through the Environmental Technology Program at Camosun College in 2023 and never left. Since then, she has become the resident geoduck expert. Everyone who has picked up that program since 2023 learned the ropes from her. Clients regularly note her ability to stay cool and get things done when timelines get tight. She also coordinates shrimp, tuna, and salmon fisheries work. Ximena is now a Coordinator, Fisheries Programs, and always has a flip-flop (or chancla, for our Spanish speakers) at the ready to keep staff and clients in line. Outside of work, she enjoys intense ping-pong matches with friends, reading a good book, and soaking up the sun.
